Ethiopia
While I was in Ethiopia I was following the history of the 10 commandments which had been brought from Israel to Ethiopia by king Solomon's son "Mednick" for safekeeping 1000 years BC. they were stored in a monastery in the middle of the Lake Tana. At the edge of Lake Tana. I stopped a fisherman and asked him if he could take me out to the monastery. He was an exceptionally good looking young man (as are many Ethiopians) and as we chatted in the boat his English was excellent. I asked him where did he learn his English he said his girlfriend was American and was studying medicine at Yale. I couldn't believe the coincidence. I thought he somehow was putting me on. While we were traveling to the island his cell phone rang and guess what....it was his girlfriend from Yale medical school calling. I verified that in fact that's who it was and where she was and absolutely marvelous at the coincidence. I did not find the 10 Commandments in the monastery at the Lake, but I did follow this beautiful young couple in America. He came over, they married, they had a child, and this was one of those extraordinary incidents in my colorful life.
In Ethiopia chasing the story of the Tabernacle I rented a boat to Visit an Island in the middle of Lake Tana where It had been hidden for 1000 years. Razz my driver was involved with a Yale medical student who had come to Africa for a father for her baby. π€ They later came to visit us: she became a Radiologist, Razz went to college, and Menalik liked my sculpture.
