In addition to our family, we had three immigrant guest. I functioned as rabbi and I am shown below wearing a TAllis given by Sandra and a hat given by Mohammed. Rabbi Gerry with a Tallis brought by Brazilian woman who had cleaned for a Rabbi, the Muslim hat from a Jerusalem born engineer with whom I work for the town. And of course Sarah and family. Memorable like the one shared at your home.✡️

Seder an oral celebration of the Exodus

To start about 5pm outdoors with welcome and introductions by Rabbi (agnostic teacher) Gerry with gratitude for the opportunity to share this special event with some of the dearest people in my life.

Karen will start the welcome by lighting the candles

Rabbi will review the history of the Jewish people with reference to Abraham, Sarah Ishmael, Isaac, covenant circa 2000BCE.

Egypt 1400 BCE the Exodus, Moses receives the 10 commandments the basis for our western religions. Solomon about 1000BCE builds the great temple (the western wall survives)

Sheba visits from Ethiopia and leaves pregnant with Menelik   600BCE. Babylonians
Invade Jerusalem., destroy the temple. Somehow the 10 commandments are brought to Ethiopia hidden at Lake Tana and now secured in a temple in Auxum.

Modern Israel home to our Western three religions has survived thousands of years of conflict. Sadly it continues to this day.

Sarah astonished me by teaching herself Hebrew and choosing Bas mitzva at 13
